Al Licata – The Commitment!

Around 1975  Al Licata, had his first encounter with God by seeing a Cross in The Sky (Read Story). That encounter totally changed Al’s life and led Al Licata to a commitment of pursuing God and a new way of thinking and living.

Al Licata Comes to His End

Around 2003 as most men, Al was clueless why his wife would leave him after 30+ years of marriage. Sissie (Al’s wife) was gone for 4 months that launched Al Licata into a deeper commitment and relationship with God the Father.

First, there came feelings of shock, numbness, shame, anger and then a feeling of freedom once  Al Licata was adjusted to living alone. After one of Al’s sons, Angelo  had a conversation about the separation, Al called out to God to show him where he was off in the marriage. Al Said, “not a good idea if you don’t want to know the truth, because it really hurts”.
Al and Sissie have since counseled many others in their marriages and the biggest thing most suffer with is how they are hurt, and don’t seem to look at what they did or did not do right to their partner! They don’t seem to want to hear about the other person’s pain! At first like everyone else Al was focused on poor Al Licata and his pain.

Al Licata

God gently showed Al Licata his shortcomings of the past 30 + years and how they had affected Sissie. At the same time, God had both Sissie and Al praying for each other, rather than all that “she did, he did” stuff which they went through for years. Oh, they both went through it but God put a stop to it! He showed both Al and Sissie Licata that the other person was experiencing pain too! That is when theREAL HEALING of the marriage and Al Licata came, according to Al.

New Revelation of God The Father for Al Licata

Al learned through a teaching series from Ministers Kenneth and Gloria Copeland, that God the Father Is a God of Love.  That was a major revelation for Al Licata after 30+ years of learning the dos and the don’ts.; but little about His unlimited love for everyone, including Al Licata.
Al always thought that God the Father was the big God with the Big Stick, waiting to punish Al Licata or anyone out of line. Al like many also felt that anything bad that was happening to Al Licata was entirely Al Licata’s fault and God was punishing Al Licata.
Then through another Minister of God, Roy Roden in Augusta, Maine, Al received the Impartation of the Father’s Heart! That led Al Licata to a deeper understanding that GOD IS LOVE, and NOW he was EXPERIENCING GOD’s LOVE DEEP WITHIN HIM.

Even after 30 years of going to church and studying the bible, the Revelation of THE FATHER’S LOVE had not penetrated Al Licata personally.

The Father’s Love Was For Al Licata Too!

4Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. 6It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
8Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever! 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 NLT
Al now knows, that there is nothing we have done that makes God love us any less and there is nothing we can do that will make Him love us more. God simply loves us, all; that includes Al Licata and You!
Reread the above scripture and replace the word love with God! Stop and meditate on that!
